TECHNICAL PROPERTIES, QUALITY CONTROL GUDELINES AND NORMS

ZINTEK is a very high quality Zinc-Copper-Titanium alloy. It fully complies with European Normative EN 988 regarding Zinc and Zinc Alloys for the construction industry.
EN 988 specifies the requisites for the Zinc-Copper-Titanium alloy sheets used by the construction industry and provided as coils, sheets or strips.
According to European norm EN 1179, the alloy is to be produced starting with 99.995 Zinc (Z1 quality) with the addition of appropriate alloying elements.

Z1 Quality Zinc (See table UNI EN 1179 - zinc properties)

The alloy components improve the rolled Zinc section properties:
- Titanium increases the strength necessary to resist permanent strain through time
- Copper increases the material resistance to tensile stress

the combination of both reduces the coefficient of expansion of the alloy.
